# Substances of concern

The register of substances of concern declared per product model, with creation, editing, and a deletion that requires retyping the substance name.

Article 7.5 of the ESPR regulation requires a brand to declare the substances of concern present in its products. This screen keeps that register: one row per substance and per product model. These are regulatory records, which is why deletion is deliberately heavy.

## What the screen shows

- A substances of concern header, a subtitle about managing declared substances for EU DPP compliance (ESPR Art. 7.5), and an add substance button.
- A search field and a filter dropdown by model, with an all models option.
- A table: substance, CAS number, EC number, concentration, SVHC, product model, actions. Concentration shows the percentage where one is filled in, otherwise the qualitative level, otherwise a dash. A red SVHC badge marks the substances concerned.
- A pencil button and a bin button per row, and page numbering with previous and next buttons, shown only when there is more than one page.
- When nothing is declared, a centred card with a flask icon, a message saying no substance is declared, and an add substance button.
- An entry window: product model, substance name, CAS and EC numbers, IUPAC name, location in the product, concentration with its unit and its level, SVHC and Restricted boxes, REACH status, safety instructions, safety data sheet URL, source and notes.

## What you can do here

- Search for a substance. The search covers two columns, the substance name and the CAS number, ignoring case.
- Filter on a single product model, and move from page to page.
- Declare a new substance on a product model, or edit an existing declaration.
- Delete a declaration, by retyping the exact substance name.

## What governs access

The tab sits behind the DPP workspace profile guard, which excludes the `basic` brand profile. Creation, editing and deletion all check the `dpp` plan option on the server side.

The list pages by 20 from the screen, the server accepting from 1 to 100 items per page. The product model cannot be changed after creation: the field only appears on creation. Saving stays disabled while the substance name is empty or no product model is chosen. Previous is disabled on the first page, next on the last.

## What the screen refuses

- A deletion whose retyped name does not match the stored one is refused by the server, with nothing changed, and the refusal recalls the consequence.
- The consequence names the CAS number, or says there is none on file, gives the product model identifier and recalls that the passport stops declaring the substance. Where the declaration was filed with ECHA SCIP, it adds that deleting locally does not withdraw the dossier filed there.
- Declaring a substance on a product model that does not exist: "Product model not found".
- Declaring a substance on a brand outside your scope: "Access denied for this brand".
- When the deletion is refused, the screen shows the server message, or failing that a message saying the deletion was refused and nothing was changed.
